Fee Payment & Refund Policy
Effective: 28 August 2026 · Applies to online fee payments made through GenixEdu
Who Sets the Refund Policy
Each institution using GenixEdu registers and maintains its own merchant account with our payment gateway partner, and authorises GenixEdu to process payments through it on their behalf. The institution independently sets its own fee structure, due dates, and refund/return conditions for its own students (e.g. whether a term fee is refundable if a student withdraws mid-term). TRONICGEN (PVT) LTD, as the technology provider operating GenixEdu, executes the payment and refund transaction on the institution's behalf but does not independently decide refund eligibility — that decision rests with the institution the payment was made to, since the funds are settled directly to their own account, not TRONICGEN (PVT) LTD's.
How to Request a Refund
If you believe you are owed a refund for a fee paid online, contact the institution directly (its office or admissions/accounts staff) with your payment reference or receipt, which is available in your payment confirmation. The institution will confirm whether the refund applies under its own policy.
Processing a Confirmed Refund
Once an institution confirms a refund is due, the refund is submitted back to the original payment method (card or bank account used) through the payment gateway shortly after that confirmation. Actual funds typically take around one to two weeks to reach you, since the exact timing depends on the payment gateway's and your card issuer's or bank's own processing schedules, which are outside our control.
Failed or Duplicate Payments
If an online payment was deducted from your account but does not appear as received in GenixEdu, or you were charged more than once for the same fee, this is a processing issue rather than an institution fee decision — please contact TRONICGEN (PVT) LTD support directly at genixedu@tronicgen.com with your payment reference, and we will investigate and correct it.
Non-Refundable Amounts
Portions of a fee already applied to services the institution has already provided (for example, a term already substantially completed) are subject to the institution's own fee policy and may not be refundable. Any payment gateway or bank transaction charges already incurred are also non-refundable.
